Secretary Atty. John R. Castriciones led the turn-over of VETREBUNS ARC Cluster Rice Processing Complex in Poblacion, Trento, Agusan del Sur last March 9, 2021. The P21.2 -M project is implemented under the  Convergence on Value Chain Enhancement for Rural Growth Empowerment (Project ConVERGE) co-funded by International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD). This include  he multi-purpose building, recirculating mechanical dryer, multi-pass rice mill, mist polisher and (5) units solar dyers.    

The operationalization of the enterprise will help rice farmers in the locality and neighboring municipalities to have a quality milled rice. Initially, the project have a total of 2,444 direct beneficiaries on the production, processing and marketing component in which 1,589 are Agrarian Reform Beneficiaries (ARBs) and 855 smallholder farmers. The province aims to attain the main goal of the project which is to reduce the poverty incidence in the cluster to 30%. the life of project (LOP) is until December 31, 2021.
